Clean Water for Kalenge, Zambia
Common Shallow Water Well
Abundant Water After Drilling
Clean Water for Kalenge, Zambia
In the Kalenge area of Zambia, a group of small villages relies on shallow wells, only 12-15 feet deep, for their water. These fill during the rainy season but dry up for months, forcing women and children to travel long distances for clean water. Sandy soil prevents digging deeper without equipment. There's little vegetation or gardening which limits daily life and opportunities.
We are raising $10,000 to install two deeper wells (100-150 feet) with hand pumps and concrete bases, strategically placed to serve 300-400 people across the many little villages. Built by a trusted local team, these wells will provide reliable clean water year-round, bringing hope for healthier communities and more opportunities.
